Terms of service

Overview

This website is operated by Verrité. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Verrité. We offer this website, including all information, tools, and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies, and notices stated here.

By visiting our site and or purchasing a commission from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms, conditions, and policies referenced herein or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, or contributors of content.

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any services.

Section 1: Made to Order Commission & Order Acceptance

Because every Verrité piece is custom made to order and entirely unique, all sales are final once production begins.

We reserve the right to refuse service, limit production quantities, or cancel any order at our sole discretion. This includes, but is not limited to, canceling orders due to unexpected material stock limitations, clear typographical pricing errors on our website, or suspected unauthorized or fraudulent activity. If we cancel an order after your payment has been processed, a full refund will be issued immediately to the original method of payment.

Section 2: Lead Times & Production

All stated lead times on our website or in correspondence are estimates provided in good faith based on current studio capacity and our artisan schedules. Because we collaborate with independent casters, specialized fabricators, and historic glass mills, these timelines are subject to change due to the nature of raw material sourcing and hand-craftsmanship.

We will communicate significant shifts in production schedules transparently. However, Verrité is not liable for project delays, labor costs, or scheduling complications caused by shifting studio lead times.

Section 3: Pricing Modifications

Prices for our products are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Price adjustments will not affect orders that have already been accepted and placed into active production. We shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

Section 4: Limitation of Liability & Staging Conditions

Verrité fine art objects and lighting fixtures are provided "as is" and "as available" for your use, to the full extent permitted by law, without any representation, warranties, or conditions of any kind, either express or implied.

We are creators and purveyors of fine art objects, not installation technicians. Verrité is entirely exempt from liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind arising from:

  • Improper, non-professional, or faulty installation of our products

  • Misuse, neglect, or third-party alteration of the products

  • Unforeseen site, electrical, or structural conditions at the installation location

We strictly require all lighting fixtures to be installed by a licensed, professional electrician to ensure structural safety and electrical compliance.

Section 5: Intellectual Property Protection

The Verrité name, logo, studio imagery, product designs, website copy, text, and the unique artistic forms of our collections are the exclusive intellectual property of Verrité and our collaborating artists.

Any unauthorized reproduction, modification, distribution, mirroring, or commercial exploitation of our designs or website content is strictly prohibited without explicit written consent from us.

Section 6: User Feedback & Project Submission

We love seeing how our pieces live in your completed spaces. By submitting photographs, videos, or written feedback to Verrité regarding your lighting projects, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and irrevocable license to use these materials for marketing, social media, archival documentation, and promotional purposes.

We will always respect your privacy. We will omit specific personal identifiers, last names, or physical addresses upon request.

Section 7: Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Section 8: Changes to Terms of Service

You can review the most current version of the Terms of Service at any time at this page. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check our website periodically for changes.
